The SECRET to Creating AND Delivering Killer Content for Your Facebook Lives
Hey, Mompreneurs! I hope everyone is enjoying their week! This blog is going to touch on two important topics to creating awesome Facebook Live sessions, coming up with content and presenting said content.
Coming up with some good ol’ valuable content.
Alright, so you’ve finally accepted to let Facebook Live into your life and you’re stumped on figuring out some content. No worries, we have all been there. So I want to share my secrets. But first, I just want to remind everyone of why people are on Facebook anyway.
Remember the three E’s? People log on to be educated, entertained, and to be engaged with. The cool thing about Live is that it addresses all three E’s AT THE SAME TIME!
So in order to come up with some killer content, you have to ask yourself some questions:
Number One- What am I interested in and why is that important?
Talking about things that you’re interested in will make and keep you excited about the topic. You’re going to show everyone exactly how passionate you are. So what are you interested in? Is it sports? Fitness? Art? Music? Parenting? Think about what your interests are and see where that could lead you.
Number Two- What are you an expert in?
Listen, if your first thoughts are “oh my gosh. I’m not an expert at anything.” WRONG. You are. I promise you. Even if you know only 1% more than the people you are talking to, that makes you the expert on said topic. You don’t need to have 20 years of experience in something in order to be an expert.
I’ve always known this because my background is in teaching Pilates, and even though I spent 16 years as Pilates instructor and personal trainer, when I first got started, I was a kid. I didn’t know everything. I had just started, but I did know I had more expertise than my students. As I continued on, my expertise grew and grew. So continue to build that expertise. I know there is something you know more about than others. Build off that and it will absolutely happen to you.
Number Three- Who is my audience?
For the most part, you are building a networking marketing, direct sales, online business from home. You’re either doing it part time or full time, but it doesn’t matter. Once you establish who you are talking to, then you can figure out the struggles, desires, dreams, and goals of your audience.
For example, mine is obviously mompreneurs and I am the same as you. I’m building my network marketing business from home with crazies (my kiddos, whom I love and adore dearly). I’m very familiar with what the struggles are, and the challenges, and the desires, and the goals. That’s what I look to talk about when I’m creating content for my Facebook lives.
Number Four- Take time to brain dump.
We literally hold ourselves back from attempting to go Live because we get caught up in our heads. Get out of your head! Write down ideas, take notes, and just see where it leads you okay? Get unstuck from the quicksand of your mind.
Number Five- Model others.
Okay, so I need to clarify that modeling others ISN’T the same as copying others. Modelling means that you see how they do their lives and what they talk about. You observe and take in some of the habits others do and mix it with your own habits. Put a little spin on the topic or habit that you like and enjoy. Just don’t straight up copy exactly what other people are doing. Be authentically you, while maybe getting a push from someone else.
So now that you’ve come up with your content, how do you deliver it effectively?

First, TAKE NOTES!
If you’ve ever watched one of my videos, you’ll see that I look down all the time. I’m taking notes and reading my own notes. No one cares if you look down, if what you are sharing is good valuable content. And I don’t advise winging it, you’ll lose focus and stubble far more than a simple look down here and there.
Second, avoid the excuse of waiting for more people to hop on.
There are people already patiently waiting for you to share your knowledge! Don’t lose them in hopes that a few more join them. The best part about Live is the playback opportunity. People maybe didn’t see it live, but they’ll be able to see it later, on their own time.
Third, engage your audience.
Say hi to those watching, give some shout-outs, ask questions that require answers. I always ask my views to drop certain numbers or a like or love. I’m engaging with my audience and receiving the feedback I want.
Fourth, have a call to action.
Now, this plays off #3. When I engage with my audience and ask them to like or love something or drop a 1 or 2 for some reason in the comments. I am literally calling them to take a specific action. So, ask your audience to DO something.
And lastly, just do it.
This is the MOST important one. Just take the action and keep doing it. You’ll get better. You just have to go with the flow. Mentor Bob Heilig recently shared how he started his Lives from nothing and by month 10, he had made a million dollars.
So just do them, keep doing them, and you’ll keep getting better!
